Alpine Championships
Photos from Alpine Championships 2010Grab your winter coat and help us celebrate this flagship event, during which Special Olympics Virginia athletes compete for a coveted place on the medals podium. Each January at Wintergreen Resort, athletes from across the Commonwealth hit the slopes for beginner, intermediate and advanced-level skiing competitions. The outdoor Opening Ceremony and lighting of the Olympic Cauldron also aren’t to be missed.
Alpine Championships, one of Special Olympic Virginia’s six state-level competitions, has been at Wintergreen Resort since 1978. Stay tuned for more details as the event approaches.
